Restoration works on Beckford’s Tower are beginning very soon, so we’ve been busy carefully removing artefacts and other items of interest from the Tower. One special item is this section of plaster cornice which we believe was originally from Fonthill House. Our senior curator Dr Amy Frost tells us a little more about the Cornice’s origins.
