FREE Easter bunny trail this Easter!

March 28April 14

***UPDATE – 4.4.24***

Having been made aware that almost all of the bunnies have gone missing we are sadly going to have to cancel this self led activity, although we will leave the painted plant pots and trail sheets out so that families can still walk the trail if they wish. If anybody knows the whereabouts of the bunnies we would be very grateful if they could be returned so that families can continue to enjoy the activity. We apologise for the disappointment.

See if you can find all of the bunnies in the grounds of Beckford’s Tower

This Easter holidays come and enjoy Beckford’s Secret Garden Trail, available at Beckford’s Tower from 28th March to 14th April 2024.

Our bunnies in the garden have all escaped to send you a message! Collect a trail map from inside the Tower Gatehouse and then set off to hunt for hidden decorated bunnies. There are 16 named bunnies. Can you find all their names? Once you’ve completed the trail, the bunnies will have shared a secret message… What will it say?

You can also take creative artistic inspiration and create your own story about your favourite bunny on the back of the trail map. We would love to see your inspired stories, please email them to us at tower@bptrust.org.uk.

Best of all, our brilliant self-led Beckford’s Secret Garden Trail is completely FREE!

Families are invited to take a stroll to the Tower, whilst it’s closed, to enjoy the bunnies in the beautiful nature that surrounds the landscape of the Tower. Come and explore Lansdown Cemetery, establishing a communal sense that it is not just Beckford’s Tower and Landscape, it is Our Tower.

Families are invited to share pictures of their visit with the Beckford’s Tower team using the hashtag #beckfordssecretgarden and follow @beckfordstower on social media.

No booking required – this will be a self-led activity for families to discover on a visit to the Tower and Landscape. All children must be accompanied by an adult whilst exploring the cemetery and it is requested that families keep to the mown paths whilst enjoying a visit. Please be respectful to other visitors in the cemetery and be aware the paths are uneven.  The Tower itself will remain closed, so please dress for the weather.

Please note that Beckford’s Tower and Museum is still currently closed to the public until early summer 2024.
