We are recruiting five different Volunteer roles
- Museum Volunteer
- Gardening and Landscape Volunteer
- Events Volunteer
- Evaluation Volunteer
- Learning and Engagement Volunteer
What we are looking for
We are looking for people with a range of different experiences, for example if you are interested in the Museum Volunteer it would be beneficial if you have experience of working with the public in a customer facing role with great customer service skills. However, if you are interested in the gardening role it would be beneficial if you enjoy working outdoors. In all the roles, experience of working in museums would be useful but is not essential as full training will be given.
Through the new layered interpretation, the Tower and Beckford’s story is identified and explained with authenticity, integrity and sensitivity. This includes subjects of enslavement, exploitation and prejudice.
All volunteer expenses will be paid and after six months you will receive free entry into Bath Preservation Trust museums.

We realise that text-based does not suit everyone, so if you would like to express your interest in a different way, for example via video or audio, require information in a different format, or need any other support with your application, please get in touch either by emailing us on [email protected] or by calling 01225 338727. We want to remove as many barriers to applying as we can.

We will particularly welcome applications from people from those sections of the community who are under-represented in Bath Preservation Trust and in the wider heritage sector including those from Global Ethnic Majority and / or disabled applicants.
